During the initial consultation, we’ll take some time to discuss what brings you to therapy and your goals. It’s an opportunity for us to explore your therapeutic needs and how I can best support you. We’ll also talk about what to expect moving forward.
There is no expectation to make a commitment or schedule future sessions at the end of this consultation. If it feels like we’re not the good fit, I’m more than happy to provide referrals to other providers who may better suit your needs.

I offer evening appointments during the week, though I’m not available on weekends. Please feel free to reach out, as I’d be happy to share the current evening times that are available.

Art Therapy is a profession and therapeutic practice that uses the creative process to help individuals express and explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. It can be a powerful way to work through challenges in a non-verbal way. To learn more about how Art Therapy can be beneficial, feel free to visit Art Therapy for more information.

Yes, I do offer virtual Art Therapy sessions. While creating art remotely can look a bit different than in-person sessions, we can still explore creative expression in meaningful ways. I’m happy to discuss how virtual sessions might work for you and ensure you feel comfortable with the process.
-
Not at all! No prior experience with art-making is necessary. In Art Therapy, the focus is on the process and how it helps express your inner world, not on artistic skill or the final product. Whether you’re experienced with art or new to it, a trained Art Therapist will guide you through the experience, helping you explore and express yourself while supporting your therapeutic goals.

I am an out-of-network provider. Although I am out of network with insurance, I can provide you with a monthly statement, also known as a superbill, that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance to learn if your insurance plan offers reimbursement for out-of-network services.

The length of therapy varies from person to person, depending on individual goals and needs. Some people may find a few sessions helpful, while others may choose to work together for a longer period. We'll discuss your goals and check in regularly to make sure the therapy process is working for you. Ultimately, it’s about what feels right for your unique journey.
-
At the start of our work together, I typically recommend meeting weekly. This helps us build trust and rapport, and allows us to gather the information needed to best support you. However, I offer flexibility in frequency, as we can adjust the schedule based on your goals and needs. It's important to me that we find a frequency that feels right for you. We’ll discuss what works best for you throughout our time together, and can adjust as needed.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, a 24-hour notice in advance of the scheduled session is required. If a 24-hour notice is not provided, the full session fee will apply.
However, if health-related circumstances prevent you from giving 24-hour notice, I provide the option for rescheduling within the same business week at no additional cost.
